Meeting report by Susie Mollan:
The meeting at the weekend was super good. Superb foundation lecture from Susie Downes. Prof Russell Foster was there giving lecture on circadian rhythm and the third photoreceptor. Glaucoma was covered by John Salmon really nicely, David Verity did cases both on the Friday evening and at the weekend meeting. We had a special treat with Sudha Sudesh from California who was amazing on Cornea and Marc Romain from Jerusalem ... just to mention a few! Some really super worthy CPD points for me.
Pearse Keane and I did an early morning OCT Angiography course on the Sunday; there were no free seats in the room! Amazing considering the usual lag in start time. And for the first year we kept nearly to time! Li Jiang and Marianne (from UHB) ... the other two Midlanders were super on the platform too!
Afrah Riaz really enjoyed the meeting and told me she felt very privileged to represent the MOS at the meeting as the 2018 MOS junior clinical presentation prize winner.
Numbers have gone up - we had 114 in 2018, and this meeting hit 140.
